Testování "hot hand" hypotézy na úrovni jednotlivců ve fotbale

Sports fans and even experts believe that athletes occasionally exhibit so-called streak shooting which means that an athlete’s chance of hitting a shot is greater following a hit than following a miss on the previous shot. Most papers show that this belief is wrong. However, on specific data, this strategy can work. The application of this idea then points to increased bets on the team in the winning streak. The existence of a hot hand in individual athletes' performance in soccer under fantasy sports rules will be investigated in this project. It will be also investigated whether fantasy sports users use this heuristic in selecting their squads.
