Experimental analysis of financial behaviour and strategies

The project aims to investigate consumer behavior in financial decision-making through several systematic steps. A key aspect involves the conducting of economic experiments in controlled laboratory conditions. For example, the response of consumers to changes in interest rates will be examined, particularly in scenarios where transaction costs are associated with switching savings product providers. Furthermore, consumer preferences regarding the potential fixation of interest rates over an extended period will be explored. The biases exhibited by consumers in their investment decisions will also be scrutinized.
